CEF Riverside leaders visit deaf ministry

The leaders of CEF Riverside visited the Calvary Deaf Church to meet with their congregation and learn about deaf ministry on April 18. Pastor Dan Dunkerley was invited on stage to speak to a socially-distanced crowd. He expressed his gratitude for the church's hospitality and spoke on how CEF Riverside would like to expand the deaf ministry.

This gallery showcases the leaders of CEF Riverside visiting Calvary Deaf Church and speaking with Pastor Tom Mather about the technology they use to host their sermons virtually.

Preaching during a pandemic

CEF Riverside has been working hard to continue spreading the word of God during this pandemic. Some of the clubs teachers and leaders have taken the initiative to write letters and send worksheets to the students as a way to continue teaching the message. We have recieved incredible feedback from the parents and students who all love what the Good News Clubs are doing. We ask that you keep CEF Riverside's teachers and students in your prayers as we final creative new solutions to reach children with the word of God in a safe and healthy manner.

Teachers and students have provided CEF Riverside with photos that showcases CEF's impact during the pandemic. Click on the arrows to look through the gallery of photos.

First Deaf Good News Club In CEF History

CEF Riverside is proud to be home to the first ever deaf ministry in the history of Child Evangelism Fellowship. This is a step toward the right direction in making the word of God accessible to all of His children. We need as much support as possible as we continue to help this Good News Club grow and flourish so, in the future, we can establish more of these outreach programs for the Deaf community. To help this ministry grow, we will need interpreters to help preach the word of God. Click the button below to contact us if you would like more information on what you can do to help!

Good News On 6th Street

Recently, due to inclement weather, one of our newest Good News Clubs located at the 6th Street Mobile Home Park in Corona was going to have to close. Graciously, and out of his own pocket, a man who lives in the trailer park took time over the weekend to build a roof and provide chairs so that the club would not have to be canceled in the rain. The children were able to come and learn about God, while staying dry!

Prayers answered at Jefferson Elementary

After many months of prayer, searching, and planning, we started Feb. 25th with eight students and four volunteers. As of last week, we are up to 26 students and another volunteer in training. In fact, Pastor John Castillo and Corona 1st Baptist Church have graciously supplied each boy and girl with their own Bible. The students were so excited as they highlighted the three memorized verses and the Holy Spirit filled us with much joy. We are overwhelmed watching how the Lord is doing his work in us and through us as we place our trust in Him week after week.

Jefferson Elementary School has seen tremendous growth since that February and now has around 80 students join the club weekly.

memorizing god's word at Parkridge Elementary

Parkridge Elementary has seen a lot of growth since its first day almost two years ago. The teachers are dedicated to helping the students grow in their faith with the Lord. Many of these students, who face different kinds of hardships, have come to learn about God's love through faith in his Son. Each week the students look forward to the club because they know that they are entering a loving environment with teachers who are passionate about the children's walk with Christ.
